MEET THE CREW

THE MANIFESTATION TEAM

Along with an introduction, we asked some of the Manifestation Team if they could tell us their favourite way to release negative emotions. Read what they have to say!

Sofia Capista - Writer & Co Director

Sofia is in her third year of Sheridan’s Bachelors of Film and Television Program, majoring in Writing and Sound. Taking on her first directorial role, alongside the rest of her talented crew, has been an eye-opening experience for her and she is delighted to be able to share this story with everyone!

My absolute favourite way to de-stress is to move my body, whether that be yoga, dancing, or some deep stretching. I’ve also found that journaling and writing is an amazing way to release the never-ending stream of thoughts that can get overwhelming at times.

One of the best ways to destress is to take a run/jog which gets your head out of the world and for you to focus on something else other than the challenges you’re facing. Good exercise also releases high amounts of endorphins!

Miguel Fernandes - Visual Effects Artist

Through sound, I hope the film is able to capture the perspective of Grace and what many kids struggle through to get their voices heard.” She hopes to one day work within the camera department and/or post-production sound and be a part of films that challenge how we view the world.

My favourite way to destress is to listen to calming music like orchestral scores or play the piano.

For me destressing is super important in my life. I heavily rely on two different ways to alleviate stress. The first is to spend an hour or more working out either at the gym, or some calisthenics at home. My other method of relieving stress is often to hop on my computer and play some video games either on my own, or with some hometown friends of mine.
